Product Description
The ACS1216A is an 16-port high-density KVM switch that allows one console (Keyboard, mouse and monitor) to control as many as sixteen servers with direct connections. An additional 31 KVMs can be daisy-chained to control a maximum of 512 servers from the single console. Port selection can be accomplished directly with hot keys, or by an On Screen Display (OSD) in which each server can be uniquely identified. The OSD also allows for two levels of log on, Administrator and user. User access is Administrator configurable on a port by port, per user basis. A total of one Administrator and four user profiles may be identified. Ports denied to a specific profile are not displayed for that user by the OSD. For a clean and simple cable management solution, the ACS1216A uses a single SPDB15 connector on the KVM side, while breaking out the monitor, and PS2 or USB connections on the server side. An Auto Sensing feature eliminates the need to set identifier Dip Switches on any of the Daisy Chained KVMs, to aid in identification, an LED indicates the selected station.
